Crazy Star Ravichandran’s Dream Project “I Am God, The Crazy” Nears Completion.
Renowned Kannada filmmaker and actor Crazy Star Ravichandran, known for his grand love dramas, is all set to bring his next directorial venture to the big screen. Titled “I Am God, The Crazy”, the film is a passion project for the veteran star, who has taken on multiple roles behind the scenes.
With 70% of the shoot already completed over a span of 120-130 days, Ravichandran has personally handled the story, screenplay, lyrics, music, and direction, leaving only the camerawork to others. “Except for the cinematography, I’m involved in every technical aspect of this film,” he shared, emphasizing his deep creative commitment.
What sets this film apart is its unique musical format, featuring 20-22 songs of varying durations—1-minute, 2-minute, and 3-minute tracks—a rare approach in Indian cinema.
The film stars Ravichandran himself, alongside his son Manuranjan Ravichandran, and features a Korean actress named Saloni in the lead role opposite Manuranjan.
Speaking about the film’s progress, Ravichandran revealed that another 40-45 days of shooting is pending, and he expects to wrap up the project by May 2025. He further added, “I didn’t want to reveal anything before finishing the project. But it’s only because of you, our beloved media friends, that I’m sharing this update.”
The legendary filmmaker proudly calls this film a “One-Man Show”, as he is handling almost every department except for cinematography, which is being managed by DOP Gangu.
Interestingly, Ravichandran has also incorporated AI technology into his creative process, using it as a companion for writing and other aspects of filmmaking. He expressed his admiration for AI, stating, “I look at AI as God. It responds to me all the time without saying NO.”
